About Us

The mission of Gilbert Youth Sports is to provide quality, structured youth sport activities to all the children of the Gilbert CSD.
These developmental programs will teach fundamentals, sportsmanship, responsibility, and teamwork in a positive, caring, and safe environment.
 

Gilbert Youth Sports (GYS) was founded in 2006 by a group of parents passionate about offering a recreational baseball league for kids in Gilbert, Iowa. Their efforts resulted in the development of a ballpark, batting cages and concession stand that is a community hub every spring and summer. As interest grew, programming expanded to basketball, football, softball, volleyball and wrestling thanks to countless hours put in by volunteer coaches and coordinators. Their vision and dedication created an organization that annually serves over 700 kids in the community to learn and love to play sports.
