T-Ball
The GYS t-ball program is for boys and girls currently enrolled in preschool, K-Prep or kindergarten at Gilbert Schools in Gilbert, Iowa, which typically includes 5- and 6-year-olds. This league is meant to be a fun introduction to the fundamentals of baseball and softball including throwing, hitting, fielding and running bases.
The first week of the season will include two practices. Starting the second week of the season teams will have one practice and one game per week. The schedule will be determined by field and coach availability. Monday and Wednesday nights will likely be game nights.
Registration includes a team t-shirt and a hat or visor. GYS will refund registration fees for players of head coaches. GYS offers need-based scholarships to cover registration fees. Contact gysiowa@gmail.com to take advantage of the program.

Fields Location
The GYS baseball fields are located south of Gilbert Elementary School (109 Rothmoor Dr, Gilbert, IA, 50105). All games and practices are held at this location. Entrance to the fields and
street parking is found along Christian Petersen Avenue. There is also parking available to the west of the fields at Upstill Park (109 Rothmoor Dr, Gilbert, IA, 50105).
