Volleyball
General Info
Gilbert Volleyball is a recreational program for girls in 3rd – 6th grades. The grade level is the child's grade they are entering in the fall school year. There is no selection process to play in the program, however, the play is competitive and players are expected to work hard and be respectful.
We play in the Central Iowa Recreation League which is coordinated by Nevada Parks and Recreation. The league includes Ames, Colo-Nesco, Gilbert, Iowa Falls, Nevada, Roland-Story and South Hamilton. (see here for more details).
Registrations are due by August 2nd and will not be accepted after the deadline. Registration includes the cost of a uniform top. Players will need to purchase their own knee pads and black shorts. Coaches and teams will then be assigned and the game schedule will be prepared and distributed to coaches and parents as well as posted on the Central Iowa Recreation League website.
